Joseph Goldstein
Buddhist teacher Joseph Goldstein on July 25, 2010 was in conversation with Chris Desser at a benefit sponsored by the bookstore for the Insight Mediation Society.
Joseph Goldstein has led insight and lovingkindness meditation retreats worldwide since 1974. He is a cofounder and one of the guiding teachers of the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts and helped establish the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies.
Goldstein has studied and practiced different forms of Buddhist meditation under eminent teachers from India, Burma and Tibet. He is the author of A Heart Full of Peace, One Dharma: The Emerging Western Buddhism, Insight Meditation: The Practice of Freedom, and The Experience of Insight. He is co-author, with Jack Kornfield, of Seeking the Heart of Wisdom and, with Sharon Salzberg, of Insight Meditation: An In-depth Correspondence Course.
