Robert B. Reich is professor of public policy at the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley. He last served in government as secretary of labor under President Bill Clinton. His articles have appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal. He contributes weekly commentaries to Marketplace on public radio, appears regularly on television, and is a co founding editor of The American Prospect.

Peter Barnes is an entrepreneur and writer who has founded and led several successful companies. At present he is a senior fellow at the Tomales Bay Institute in Point Reyes. In 1976 he co-founded a solar energy company in San Francisco, and in 1983 he co- founded Working Assets Money Fund and served as president of Working Assets Long Distance. Peter has authored four books on economic and environmental subjects. In 1997 he founded the Mesa Refuge, which has hosted over 600 writers. He resides in Point Reyes Station.
